18 January 2022. The frame around one of the Transfer Shed (Visitor Centre) has rotted and is being replaced, together with repair to the existing window.




08 February 2022. Beading around glass being renewed, small repairs to the frame where it has rotted and a couple of panes to replace.




05 April 2022 - Window repairs are completed (apart from final painting) and refixed in its new frame.

18 January 2022.'Toad' brakevan has been receiving repairs for a while now. The verandah end is largely complete with replacement steel panels and structural repairs. Final painting and replacement of the floor still to do.




18 January 2022. At the other end, replacement of the wood has commenced.




06 March 2022 - as part of the overhaul the sandboxes have been freed after many years. Now being reinstalled.

07 February 2022. To enhance the atmosphere in the Transfer Shed (Visitor Centre) a small tribute to 'The Titfield Thunderbolt' film which was released in 1953 (70 years anniversary in 2023).
A British comedy film directed by Charles Crichton and starring Stanley Holloway, Naunton Wayne, George Relph and John Gregson.
The screenplay concerns a group of villagers trying to keep their branch line operating after British Railways decided to close it.
