30 April - The Ruston shunter suffered froma head gasket failure and the top end of the engine had to be overhauled.

2 May - The block is being cleaned of years of accumulated oil and muck!

21 May - refitting overhauled injectors.




20 June - Clifford (yes its him) working on the turntable which is 70 years old this year (and 70ft long)!




Roger is replacing a slightly 'wobbly' plank on the turntable.




We are always in a hole, the two Johns are replacing a cast iron section of water main pipe which has proved troublesome.




Its always a good idea to stop digging when you get yourself into a hole!




20 June - Overnight Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June we suffered a widespread graffiti attack which caused efforts to be re-directed from more positive endeavours in an effort to clear the mess. The following photos show the progress on the coach (unfortunately some re-painting will be required) and Toad brakevan. Fortunately quick attention has resulted in less damage than might have been.
