3 October -A short length of track leading onto the turntable is placed on baulk timbers with spacers and tie bars to keep everything to gauge. All the old dirt has been dug out, the woodwork examined (with one spacer replaced) and to be refilled with clean ballast. (Photo courtesy Brian Haigh) |
