Pectin's water tank is now receiving attention in the Shed. A couple of holes have made themselves known and will be patched with new metal. One has been cut out and the second initially drilled.

15 November. Thanks to a generous donation (thanks John Penny) the final glasses have been fitted. The box will hold some publicity material.

15 November. Front and back windows of the Platform Shop are being spruced up.

15 November. New project to renovate (much needed) the Southern Railway brakevan (actually built for War Department and certainly latterly based at Chilmark - between Tisbury and Salisbury.) The sandbox at this end has been removed (inside door) and now the bolts holding the metal plate on the verandah are being removed.

It was expected that either concrete or scrap metal found be found as additional weight to enhance the vehicle's braking ability. It was the scrap metal variety!. The vehicle was built in 1942 when there was a metal shortage!

All this caused some interest - 'What we got here' variety.

Turned into a proper 'Council' job!

Emptying the scrap (although some will be useful material to us). Some at the bottom had rusted and jammed causing more use of large hammers!
