Sunday 7 August 2005 saw lots of children bringing their favourite Teddy Bear. Also GWR Toad brake van 35923 was formally handed over by 6000 Locomotive Association to the ownership of South West Main Line Steam Company. Also 71000 Duke of Gloucester was still at the Centre, offering an extra attraction for visitors.

The presence of a main line steam engine always provokes interest.

Members of 6000LA officially handing over ownership of the GWR 'Toad'. Yeovil Railway Centre is represented by Dave Grabham, Vice-Chairman.

The brake van will continue its use of conveying passengers over the demonstration line during Train Days. The van has just completed an overhaul of the body and now carries its home depot of 'Yeovil' in place of the previous 'Hereford'. We look forward to members of the 6000LA continuing their annual visit Yeovil for many years to come. The Association continues to own 'Pectin', our resident steam engine.
