11 January 2005. Today saw two EWS return workings through Yeovil Junction. With locomotive workings being almost as rare as hen's teeth, the recent number and variety of engines is welcome! It is also notable that a break appears to be built in to the EWS workings so that the crews can enjoy Millie's famous cuisine in the station buffet! Well worth a visit.

During a very soggy afternoon, the Serco Test train lead by 67014 paused at the station on its return from Exeter. Interesting to see the coaching stock still branded as 'Railtrack'.

At the other end of the train was the testing car and 67019.

The train departs for Salisbury in the gloom, passing to the right of the signalbox (just visible).

The test train was hotly followed by 66215 on its route learning duty. This passed to the left of the signalbox down the branch to Yeovil Pen Mill.
