Postponed from 9 July, Steam Dreams ran the Waterloo Sunrise with 34067 Tangmere. This train ran non-stop from Waterloo to Salisbury in 95 minutes (arriving punctually!). The train was originally planned to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the end of Southern Region steam.

Arrival on Platform 3 where steam was detached and the train continued to Weymouth behind a West Coast Class 47 (via Yeovil Pen Mill).

Interested visitors. Note the cameraman on the footplate. A programme is to be made, intended for broadcast and DVD on behalf of Steam Dreams.

Turning, then servicing followed.

Basking in the sunshine of a glorious day.

Awaiting departure to the upside for coal and then to Weymouth.

Seen (just) running from Yeovil Pen Mill towards Maiden Newton!
