A significant step in the return of Andrew Barclay saddle tank 'Lord Fisher' to service saw the return of its boiler from Gartell's (at Templecombe) following the recent overhaul and successful insurance examination. 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' also arrives.

On 7 August 2012 various bits of pipe were laid out in an attempt to work out 'what went where'!!

13 August 2012. Prior to the boiler's arrival, 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' arrived to stay for a couple of days.

Turning in the rain!

'Lord Fisher's' chassis was moved outside in readiness.

Antells used their 'Heritage' outfit to transport the boiler from Templecombe. Fortunately the rain had eased now.

A reversing move across the road is needed....

....before passing underneath the low bridge to access Yeovil Railway Centre.

Sharp bend and slope to negotiate.

Ropes were attached to either end of the boiler to help control any movement.

Gently does it off the lorry.

The lorry moves away....

....and the chassis propelled underneath the boiler.

Job done.

A few more bits to add before it starts looking like the finished article!

A helping slew from the JCB is required to get the trailer round and under the bridge!

15 August 2012 saw Pete applying a further coat of paint to the newly-arrived boiler

Firebox end.
