On 15 December 2012, 34067 'Tangmere' operated from Bristol to Bristol via Castle Cary, Yeovil Pen Mill/Junction, Exeter (break). Return via Castle Cary. Seen here passing Yeovil Junction some 40+ minutes late after finding itself behind a late running FGW train. |
A Class 47 diesel was on the end of the train. 'Tangmere' was closely followed by a SWT train and both crossed an up train in Axminster loop. Unfortunately this then resulted in some delays to service trains. |

First service is to coal the locomotive. The cause of the arrival at Platform 1 instead of the usual Platform 3 can just be seen in the background - an inconveniently parked track machine preventing 'Britannia' running round within the sidings! (Photo courtesy Adrian Childs) |
