In recent times, works has begun on dismantling Peckett 'Pectin' to enable a full 10 yearly examination to take place by the Boiler Assessor. Once that has been done, the boiler will come off the chassis and no doubt taken off site for repairs.

The team can then turn its attention to the chassis, motion, cylinders and numerous other bits that will need attention.

This is an expensive job with funds raised by the volunteers. If you can help ease the financial burden please do consider making a donation via PayPal or by cheque (payable to Yeovil Railway Centre) sent to Yeovil Railway Centre, Yeovil Junction Station, Stoford, Yeovil, Somerset BA22 9UU. Please indicate that this is for the overhaul of 'Pectin'.
