17 December 2009 Once again Yeovil Railway Centre was honoured by the presence of 34067 'Tangmere' on the annual Carol Service special taking passengers to Sherborne (for the Abbey). We also welcomed some of the retired enginemen who worked out of Yeovil Town Shed on steam. This was a prelude to the Yeovil 150 Festival to be held on 17/18 July 2010 to mark the arrival of the London & South Western Railway (L&SWR) and the opening of the extension to Exeter.
