21 September 2014 The Rail Vac unit top and tailed by 31601 and 31452 approach Yeovil Junction having completed work near Chard Junction. En-route to Totton Yard (Nr Southampton). |
6 October 2014 The Rail Head Treatment Train has started operating, once again using a MPV (branded both Network Rail and South West Trains). |

21 October 2014 1L33, the 12.20 departure from London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids came into contact with a tree near Sherborne and terminated at Yeovil Junction some 47 minutes late at 15.26. The two 159 units were shunted into the down sidings and a 158 on a route learning trip arrived at 15.45 and attached to the 159 units. |
With the two 159 units partly beyond the Stop Board and into the headshunt, the whole ensemble is about to depart to Salisbury depot for inspection and any repairs required |

23 October 2014 The Network Rail Measurement Train ran today on a route Old Oak Common (London) to Exeter via Salisbury and Yeovil Junction. Then return to Yeovil Junction, down to Yeovil Pen Mill and reverse at Westbury to Yeovil Pen Mill, again, (where these photos are taken) and onto Weymouth. Finally back to Old Oak Common via Yeovil Pen Mill and Yeovil Junction. The semaphore signals should last a few more years yet before the signalbox is closed. (Photo courtesy Bob Tucker) |

A gauge has been in our possession for many years. Just got round to cleaning some of the grime and nicely maked as GWR C&W Yeovil. The guys could not resist taking it to see if the wheel set on the GWR Toad was still the correct distance apart. Luckily it was! (Photo courtesy Brian Haigh) |
