As part of a move around of coaches, MK1 BSK 35317 has gone to Southall and MK1 BCC 21268 arrived in its place.

The move should have taken place the previous day, 21 November but due to floods blocking the line at Templecombe (and between Yeovil Pen Mill and Castle Cary - and many other places) Crompton 33207 and coach were stabled at Salisbury overnight having run from Southall to Eastleigh and then on to Salisbury.

Photos are of River Yeo to the south of our site. The river has overflowed onto the Clifton Maybank estate.

....and backs onto site. The departing coach has been moved to the turntable road to ease movements.

After detaching MK1 21268, the Crompton picks up MK1 35317.

And in quick time is back on Network Rail metals ready to run to London.

No South West Trains were running west of Yeovil Junction today (or for some days after) due to a track wash out and a landslip.

Dave Tozer has supplied a photo of the first public First Great Western train out of the West Country since 20 November(?) seen near Pinhoe. Formed of Power Cars 43122 and 43024. Prior to this the previous night, three marooned Freightliner Class 66s had run from Exeter Riverside to Stoke Gifford yard and an empty HST had run from St Philips Marsh to Laira (arriving Exeter around 5am). There were still numerous speed restrictions in place and only a few diversions were seen. For some days South West Trains had run a two hourly service west of Yeovil Junction. Once the flood waters had receded repair work could start on the flooded relay room at Cowley Bridge!
