| Persistent bands of heavy rain caused flooding of Great Western main line at Cowley Bridge, Exeter after the water had made its way down from the moors. This caused some diversions onto the Southern line through Yeovil Junction. The Southern line had also been closed for around 12 hours but no substantial damage was incurred. |
