23 May 20009 First Summer Saturday for the 2009 timetable brought some very interesting workings. |
Following an earlier fatality at Trowbridge, trains were running late and stock was out of place. Passengers had been left behind earlier in the day (caught the loco hauled train) but insufficient stock could be found for the 14.49 Bristol to Weymouth and 17.30 return. An HST in the form of OC49 with Power Cars 43124 and 43041 was rostered! |
Bicycles for Dorchester West!! | |
An HST for Weymouth from Yeovil Pen Mill - a first or when did this last happen? |
The local moggy doing a bit of linesiding - not recommended for a long life!! |
At the first sound of a train approaching the cat was off - obviously a 'Railway Cat'!! We have since been advised that this is Thomas and indeed is the Signalbox cat. He also enjoys travelling on trains and has visited Castle Cary and Dorchester by hopping on. The Guards all know him and ensure he returns safely! He also moves out of the way when a train approaches - as demonstrated here!! |
67017 brings the 16.55 from Weymouth to Bristol into Yeovil Pen Mill having worked the 9.09 from Bristol earlier. |
67016 was at the rear. |
At least the passengers had some space on the return journey!! |
11 July sees the train recessed in Weymouth sidings (67016 nearest the camera). |
