September 2013 saw a temporary road laid from Clifton Maybank House near to the river bridge which carries the railway over the River Yeo. This area is liable to flood during periods of heavy rain so it is assumed that the water was scouring the foundations of the bridge.

Setting up.

A dam was built across the river and a lot of heavy equipment was brought in including a large cement mixer (blue) and pumps (orange) to move the river water in pipes through the bridge presumably to provide dry working conditions. This was the scene on 24 September 2013.

By 29th September most of the equipment had gone leaving the roadway to be removed.
