Hertfordshire Railtours ran an excursion from Minehead to Weymouth using the 'Butlins' stock and no less than three Class 31s.

Due to the late departure of the preceeding First Great Western service, some 60 passengers were conveyed to Maiden Newton, Yeovil Pen Mill and Castle Cary.
