30 July 2012 As part of the Salisbury-Exeter re-signalling scheme, a new modular platform is being installed to allow access to/from trains without the need to cross the footbridge or use the barrow crossing. The structure can be removed if the line is ever re-doubled and reduces the need for staff to be present.
