Diesel rides with Pectin's boiler as a load.

Rather disappointingly it was found that 3 large posts installed over the River Yeo river bridge only in the past 6 or 7 years had completely rotted. It was possible to remove them from the concrete base (Weetabix comes to mind) and replace with new, and hopefully longer lasting posts.

15 September 2015
Great progress has been made with renovating the L&SWR Gunpowder Van which was begun back in April.

15 September 2015
Work begins to convert an old Port of Bristol wagon into something more local.

22 September 2015
The old wood, much of which was rotted, has been removed along with the corroded corners. The main chassis, tyres etc are still in a reasonable condition and await needle gunning and other remedial work.

Not really a site activity but seen from the site is the first South West Trains 159 unit (159103) after a refurbishment and new livery.

29 September 2015 - Its been a while since the ongoing renovations to the turntable have been highlighted. Much (thankless) progress has been made. Three corner sections have been attended to and the inside painted. Still to do are the other corner, the middle section and repairs to some non-structural sheeting. There is a lot of painting still to do which will probably have to wait until the weather warms up in Spring 2016!
