21 March 2003 - The stock of the Orient Express was watered overnight

In a first for us, EWS arranged for the stock of the Orient Express to be brought to Yeovil Junction for watering. A keen(?) crew arrived at 6.30 am to find a frost overnight was to cause a little difficulty before the watering of the stock could begin. All challenges were met and the train duly departed on time. It is important to say that our friends at Network Rail supervised our activities.

A frosty and misty scene with 47799 'Prince Harry' on Platform 3 at Yeovil Junction.

A 'Royal' Class 47. Class 159 units were stabled overnight at Yeovil Junction due to relaying work at Salisbury.

Having resolved the frozen pipe problem the team get to work. The camera flash shows up the reflective stripes.

The pipes are heavy to move around. Dillon gets to grips!

John watches whilst Ronnie begins to fill another tank whilst the overflow on the previous coach still runs.

The crew were able to see inside the luxurious coaches. Details of Ibis.

The train departs from Yeovil Junction on time.

The driver takes the token for the branch to Yeovil Pen Mill en route to Cardiff.
