A few photos showing the continuing work on converting an old (and semi-derelict) ex-Port of Bristol wagon into a local private-owner vehicle. Much of the wood has now been cut and temporarily fixed as well as much of the metal repairs.

During the repair of a slate roof over a small office attached to the Transfer Shed (Visitor Centre) a cut hole was surprisingly revealed. No doubt this was for a chimney off a stove installed to keep the person in charge warm! The Transfer Shed as built in 1864 was open ended and would have been decidedly cold in winter. Kelvin looks into the matter whilst Spike continues with the repairs.

On August Tuesdays we ran diesel rides which were well received by our visitors.

The Miniature Railway also ran a diesel (with the Model railway also in operation).
