Santa Specials 2008
Being run over 4 days this year on Sundays 14 and 21 December, Saturday 20 December and Tuesday 23 December. EWS were also carrying out engineering works at Milborne Port and trains were regularly arriving from the work site and, using a turn over engine, running back to Eastleigh via Yeovil Pen Mill. An HST also turned up on the first Sunday although no picture was taken!

13 December 2008. Unsuccessful attempts were made to reach Yeovil Junction during the Saturday morning due to the huge amount of rain that had fallen the previous night. These four pictures were taken around 1pm when the river levels had fallen and road access available again!

Great day for steam effects.

As one engineering train arrives, the engine is detached and the turnover engine takes the train away. The detached engine then runs to the sidings by the signalbox and forms the next turn over engine.

66056 has now been attached to the next train and is ready to leave.
