The Yeovil Betrothal ran from London Paddington to Yeovil Junction with 6024 King Edward I in connection with Shirley and Nick's wedding. After the reception the happy couple joined the passengers for the return journey. They met whilst watching the engine in Devon and Shirley is a member of the engine's support crew.

Catching everyone by surprise, the train arrived at 12.35 instead of 13.20! Something to do with the water carrier! Pectin is on hand to greet and welcome.

Support coach, water carrier and engine have been detached and stand in Platform 4. 6024 then leaves for coaling.

Pectin then gave train rides for guests and the public.

Bride and groom on arrival from Sherborne Abbey. The reception was held in the Transfer Shed followed by a disco for Emma (Shirley's daughter) who was 18.

Whats going on here?

6024 then dragged the water carrier onto the turntable road, 6024 was then turned.
