16 June 2007 The Yeovil Betrothal ran from London Paddington to Yeovil Junction with 6024 King Edward I in connection with Shirley and Nick's wedding. After the reception the happy couple joined the passengers for the return journey. They met whilst watching the engine in Devon and Shirley is a member of the engine's support crew. |
Catching everyone by surprise, the train arrived at 12.35 instead of 13.20! Something to do with the water carrier! Pectin is on hand to greet and welcome. |
Support coach, water carrier and engine have been detached and stand in Platform 4. 6024 then leaves for coaling. | |
