16 July 2010 The Event had been in planning for almost 18 months with the last week or so seeing great activity in getting the site ready to accept a substantial number of visitors and the Transfer Shed and Engine Shed cleared for exhibitors. Grass had to be cut, signs erected, fencing erected along with a myriad of other tasks.

16 July 2010 Much work going on to prepare for the Festival including fetching coal for 6024. JC passes John Fox.

PHEW!! Our star exhibit arrives from Stewarts Lane fresh from running the VSOE from London to Bristol and return the previous day.
