27 April 2008
After the last trains on Saturday 26 April two lower quadrant signals at Yeovil Pen Mill were decommissioned and replaced by two new upper quadrant signals. The remaining lower quadrants will be replaced in the next two or three weeks.

A last look on 25 April of the signals still in use although the finials have been removed already.

Train signalled for the Weymouth line. The other route is for the branch to Yeovil Junction which diverges immediately behind the road bridge.

The old Great Western signal with route indicator.

Work on constructing the replacement signals.

27 April sees the new signals in place with commissioning work being undertaken.

The old signals have been placed in the goods yard. The good news is that the Route Indicator signal was designated for disposal to Yeovil Railway Centre by Railway Heritage Committee and has now been safely transported.

Another view of the new signals.

This photograph and the three following were taken on 13 April 2006 long before work began.

This picture and the following two were taken on 28 February 2008
