28 February 2008. 159002 'City of Salisbury' suffered a fault whilst working the 13.20 Waterloo to Yeovil Junction on 27 February and on arrival it was deemed unfit to make its return journey.

That evening a skate was fitted to the offending axle.

During the night of 29 February a slow journey back to Salisbury depot was completed with a 20 mph maximum and 5 mph over points.
