11 January 2009 It is almost 11 months since work was started on extending the Wilderness siding and progress can be seen HERE - HERE - HERE and HERE. Much of the work has been completed by the mid-week gang with the occasional blitz at weekends. The buffer stop and some of the rail was recovered from the upside at Yeovil Junction after the yard was converted to a car park.

The buffer requires levelling and screwing down.

Work on the siding is not yet complete as the original section requires packing at a later date.
